Hello, weekend! Some more spare time for new accords in the kitchen!
And in the end its not so much to spare – its only 30 minutes for a little healthier version of a hot, cheesy, colourful veggy home-oven- baked pizza! My healthier version of it 🙂
The key is the Crust – and I made my version today gluten, egg & yiest free and it worked pretty well! Just 3 cups of buckweat flower (~ 400 g), salt, 2 tbs of olive oil, 1 tbsp of ghuee mixed with 0,5 glass of room temperature water. Now you have to use your hands & love to work the dough into a smooth texture & roll it on a baking paper to a thin round crust, fix the sides with fingers. Then put it for 10 minutes in a 200 °C oven.
After you take out your crust from the oven – it’s time to improvize!!! And create a mouth-watering topping of your favourite taste!
I decorated mine with a layer of organic sugarfree tomato sauce, zucchini, musk-melon, cherry tomatos, red paprika, mozzarela bits, arugula, chilli flakes. And it tasted just amazing!
Wonderful thing I discovered was that I felt no heaviness in my stomach after tasting few slices, that I usually feel after eating a regular white flour pizza! So, what is important I guess – is choosing ingredients that best comfort your body!
And yes, it seems that we still wait for the weekend to award ourselves with a special treat, however I am sure experimenting cooking moments daily can bring more peace in life, since it rests your head so well, sometimes even better than a 5 minute plank or extreme running.
Surely, this is an individual thing, but I believe that everyone can cook & create and even surprise oneself with a hidden talent!
I wish you a inspirational & relaxing weekend!
