Usually we tend to look for magic pill to solve our problems and fast, health problems in particular. We tend to look for “something new”, innovative, trusted, confirmed by cool scientists or at least our doctors, close friends or smart influencers. Our mind carousel tend to spin fast looking for the way out, usually causing headache & bringing us to an easiest option – real pills.
I bet we intuitively know that magic pill doesn’t exist…And we tend to forget that usually magic is right there in front of our nose and in the biggest pharmacy – nature 🙂
One amazing example which is close to magic pill is Saffron!!! Its a most expensive spice in the world for a reason. Its harvested & hand picked in Middle east & parts of Europe and has been in use by humanity 3,500 years ago. It does not only give great fusion to cooking, is used for making perfume, but also has amazing benefits to health!
– Saffron is called “sunshine spice“ for a reason – it is not only of a sunshine yellow colour but is believed to have mood-boosting properties, so could work as great anti-depressant
– Saffron consists of many different chemical components, some of which may help to reduce blood pressure and provide protection against heart disease.
– It might be a good pain or mood swings releaser for PMS treatment
– It may also help learning & boost memory function
– Saffron is rich in antioxidants which help protect the body from harmful substances.
– May reduce weight & help in weight loss
I used to use saffron in rice dishes, but started to drink saffron tea recently & it smells & tastes so good that I am close to addiction.
It is so easy to prepare – just put few threads in hot water & wait till it gets the sunshine colour 🙂 You could add other herbs & honey if you want. It could easily be used cold – instead of water.
Try & enjoy!
